2014 XC 90 Left Foot Braking

I am a left foot braker and I have noticed in some hard braking situations there is a significant lag between releasing the brakes and accelerating.

Is there a way to disable this feature?

Yes, stop using your left foot. You probably give a lot of drivers behind you a fit with brake lights coming on frequently and sometimes riding the brakes. I apologize for the comment but please consider learning how to get your right foot off the accelerator and onto the brake pedal and back to the accelerator.
