XC90 - Noise when accelerating

My 2017 XC90 with 60,000 miles has developed a whooshing (or is it a whirring?) sound under acceleration. there is a slight delay from pressing my foot on the accelerator to hearing the sound but it’s very consistent. No noticeable noise upon start up, and possibly slightly more noticeable when cold.

I have previously had a turbo hose replaced which was a similar sound - except the engine management kicked in and power was limited. This time the power is fine, just the noise which is getting slightly more noticeable over time.

I’d like to hear the result from anyone who has had this problem and resolved it. I have the same experience with a ticking sound upon acceleration when driving (not when in park and revving). It seems sluggish so I’m wondering if it is the turbocharger?
