Volvo XC90 AWD D5 Automatic - 145K miles 2008

Car cut out when driving - everyhting shut down Steering got incredibly heavy as did brakes, all lights on dash lit up and car wouldn't start.

I only had icarsoft scanner - error code just said Fuel system - Cleared the code , turned the ignition off statretd the car again and it started fine. Tried to drive slowly forward and cut out again. Had a spare Bosch Fuel filter so fitted it. manaaged to get home however it cut out on the way (cleared codes again and it started ok) . The car felt off on the drive home

Took car for a drive with Vida plugged in and managed to replicate the fault

Frozen Values from ininital readout -
Engine load : 90.63 %
Engine Coolant temperature: 62.7 defgrees Celsius

Air Mass 102.40 kg/h
Fuel Pressure 630153.85 hpa
EGR Valve 100%
Atmospheric Pressure 945.23 hPa
Battery Voltage 14.19 V
Throttle Valve Position 0%
Ambient temperature 7.3 degrees celsius
Accelerator pedal sensor - PWM signal 21.18%
Accelerator Pedal AP sensor, analog signal 21.57%
Intake throttle , desired position : 325.14%
Engine running status ECM : engine running
Torque from engine :152.94 Nm
Previous engine state : Not Trans....
Ignition key position: Engine Running
Engine Oil Temperature : 55.27%
Fuel temperature : 14.68 degrees celsius
Brake light switch : Not activated
Injection quantity 25.19 mg/cyc

Looked up the fault code on vida and fault trace

ECM-2400 Fuel system - Signal too high

For a signal too high possible sources were
- Short circuit to voltage on the injection valves
- Short circuit to voltage internally in the ECM
- Damaged injection valves
- Internal fault in the ECM

Vida suggests checking components and wiring - i don't have a break ut box how so how would i do this ?

Vida also suggest doing a Injector test - Results are as follows

ECM - Engine Speed cylinder 1 = 701 r/min
ECM - Engine Speed cylinder 2 = 705 r/min
ECM - Engine Speed cylinder 3 = 699 r/min
ECM - Engine Speed cylinder 4 = 697 r/min
ECM - Engine Speed cylinder 5 = 696 r/min

MAX MIN
Fuel Quantity correction cylinder 1 0.15 0
Fuel Quantity correction cylinder 2 -0.05 -0.54
Fuel Quantity correction cylinder 3 -0.06 -0.28
Fuel Quantity correction cylinder 4 0.86 0.39
Fuel Quantity correction cylinder 5 -0.17 -0.35

Are these values ok ?

Has anyone experienced similar issues?

I've ordered a genuine Volvo Fuel filter ?
Could a sensor be confusing the ECM ?
Do i need a new fuel pump ?
Do i need to send off to get the ECM repaired /cloned ?
Are there any other tests i can do to try and isolate the issue ?

Thank you for reading
