Electrical Mileage

I just received my first Volvo product the XC 90 T8 on October 14th. My understanding was that the electrical component would deliver up to 43kms. After a full recharge the indicators consistently only show 26 to 28 kms available. And went driving on the Hybrid mode the distance of depletion for the electrical drive is further downgraded to about 20 kms or 12 miles. Is this to be expected? The rest of the vehicle certainly has been as promised--great ride, power, interior comfort.

I'm not sure where 43km comes from. In the US it is advertised as getting 17 miles (approximately 26km) on electric only; on a nice day, I can get that kind of mileage. Weather definitely has a MAJOR effect on range, however. When the temp is below 50F (10C), I start to have a rapid decrease in range as the temp goes lower.
