Engine squeal on vacation. Need advice.

Good morning, my wife’s xc90 just started making a loud squealing noise from the engine area.

troubleshooting…lifting the oil cap makes the noise go away. Looking online the issue appears to be the oil trap/pcv area.

My concern is we’re on vacation and a good ways from any tools or parts or dealerships.

Any mechanical advice on if driving the car will cause more damage (assuming it’s the pcv/oil trap)?
