Google maps with satellite view now available

There was only one thing that I regretted not having when choosing XC90 over Q7, but not anymore...
This is CarPlay on iOS 12, I?m also waiting for Waze, but apparently Google now owns Waze, so they updated their own app first

Just plug your phone into the console and use AA or IOS for google maps. once it's loaded, open the settings and select satellite.

I have a 2018 XC90 and a new iPhone 8 with IOS 12. I have Waze on my phone but it doesn't show up on CarPlay. Only 5 apps appear, and there is no "+" sign (only "-") on my Iphone's CarPlay app. Any help appreciated!

I figured it out...needed to update the Waze app on my phone. I see the icon now.

I also had to upgrade my phone to iOS 12. Then they finally showed up.

Is it possible to maximise the google maps screen, removing other icons (tiles) when navigation is running ?
