PA3! Upgrading from PA2.

If I have a 2018 with PA2, is it a free upgrade? If not, cost?

It is considered an upgrade, so it will cost. Labor amount will depend on the dealership, my upgrades were $35 each plus labor (which I had some other stuff done, so not sure on the total cost, less than $200 total I believe).

2016 requires 3 upgrades
2017 (and 2018?) require 2 upgrades (32261831 and 32261830)

Per Volvo USA site for the Intellisafe Update:

The software package contains four technical functions that have been introduced in different model years, but which can now be offered for all SPA vehicles. The function can only be enabled if the vehicle is equipped with Intellisafe Surround (BLIS), (option code 603).

You must have BLIS.

According to word I got back from the dealer, PA3 does not show in the system. Would you have a pointer that I could share with him? I also asked him to check with his District people.

I heard back from the dealer and he said that since I have BLIS and it's a 2018, I only need one upgrade FYI.

It is a purchasable intellisafe upgrade. It's not pa3 yet.

2018 may only need 1 upgrade.

So just to be clear, you don't have PA3 installed on your car yet.

I have not seen any documentation on Pilot Assist 3. My dealer said the latest is still PA2.... I think the OP is confusing it with the Intellisafe update...

I have additional info on the latest (paid) Intellisafe updates (11/20/18).
(Number of updates depends on model year)

There are Intellisafe Support Upgrades which include:
Run-off road Mitigation
BLIS™ with Steer Assist and Cross Traffic Alert
Oncoming Lane Mitigation
Oncoming Mitigation by Braking

Pilot Assist now functions up to 125 mph when following another vehicle.

Sure cuts down the head wind! Bump drafts are still frowned upon though.

And it doesn't work, maybe it's UK only for now? I've tested all modes, cuts off at 87.

How do you get this software upgrade? I take my car in for service and they do a free update, bu nothing changes.
