rear liftgate opening with foot?

Mine does not seem to work at all. I guess you need to kick under the left side of the car and the tailgate should lift automatically. Anyone else having this issue?

It is finicky and especially after a rain (when wet underneath).
If you move your foot under the bumper at the driver's side bumper back up sensor slowly and then remove, it seems to respond better (activate the sequence).

Mine works perfectly! I found that if I kick right under the left parking sensor, it will work every time. A straight kick, not side to side sweep.
