XC90 Hand washing doors keep locking and unlocking

I'm new so please forgive me if this is answered somewhere already, I haven't found an answer. I just washed the 2019 XC90 for the first time and every time I got near the door handles the car would either lock or unlock. I could even lock them by shooting water from the hose at the handles. Is there a way to temporarily disable this function. I do like it as an everyday convenience but during a wash it's a nuisance. Thanks in advance.

Good news, I figured out two things. If I take the keys out of my pocket it's no problem and the second is I'm not as smart as I was when I was younger.
